My favorite carry-on “personal item” is my Fjallraven Kanken backpack.  It holds a decent amount of stuff and has handles that make it look more like a tote bag and the back straps snap down for times when you need a less casual look.  The durability is fantastic and best of all it comes in about 30 colors, so you’re sure to find one you love!

I love this cross body “purse”.  It has an organizer pocket with slots for cards, pens, glasses and a pocket for a passport &phone. There’s room for a small wallet too.  The large opening is padded and easily holds an ipad air, and a paperback book.  There’s another back pocket that holds cosmetics or what-have you.  The tiny front zipper pocket is where I keep my hotel key for quick access.  It also can convert to a backpack!

This is the same style as the Belle Hop version above, but is a pretty beige with robin’s egg blue trim.  The large opening isn’t padded in this model, but with a cover, your tablet should still travel well.  I know these bags have reviews that say the straps are poorly made, but I haven’t had any problems with mine that has had constant use for 1 ½ years!

There are a variety of methods of hiding your passport and valuables on your person while traveling.  I prefer the neck pouch over money belts or other methods.  If you need to get to your things, you don’t have to undress!  This version is lightweight and has RFID protection, two zipper pockets (I use one side for US currency and the other for the country I’m in) a velcro pocket for passport and a clear ID holder.  It comes in black, brown or silver.

We all travel with electronics that have charging cords, and ear buds, camera chips, sd cards and extra batteries.  This handy little organizer can keep everything organized and tidy with 4 elastic bands to tuck cords through and a zipper compartment for the other bits and pieces.  It’s 7.5” x 5.5”, so its easy to tuck into your day bag.

I use this handy purse organizer in the bottom of my Fjallraven backpack,  There are little pockets to hold my “medicine chest”, first aid kit, eyeglass cleaner packets, receipts, and all the rest of the stuff I cannot live without.  (Like Clorox wipes for the airplane tray and arm rests!)  It comes in a bunch of colors too!

This set of 3 little bags works great for cosmetics.  The largest bag has one clear side, so I use it to take my essential make up items in my carry on bag;  it is quart-size for TSA so I don’t have to use a flimsy zipper baggie.  The smaller bags come in handy for other doodads that I want to keep together.

I cannot travel without at least a little jewelry, and this lightweight organizer keeps everything from getting all scrambled together.   I love the pink but it comes in black too.

This chic little trifold wallet clutch is another great option and it comes in 18 amazing colors.  It has RFID protection, a passport pocket, a boarding pass compartment, credit cards slots, an id card slot, 1 sim card pouch, a cellphone pouch (fits up to 5.8”), a currency & coins zipper pocket , a key holder and a pen holder.
